SEDC and USOE are offering classes to teachers who wish to aquire a Reading Endorsement
Reading Comprehension Instruction-MEDUC 6350
An exploration of current research theories and their pedagogical implications related to teaching vocabulary, reading comprehension, and metacognition. This course is required for the Reading Specialist Endorsement.

Instructor
Nancy Roundy is the Reading Specialist for Kane County School District. She has extensive experience as a Classroom Teacher, Adjunct Professor and Training Facilitator. She holds a Reading Level II endorsement as well as an English as a Second Language Endorsement. She is a DIBELS Trainer,Common Core Teacher Trainer and Certified Teacher Instructor for The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council accredited program.
Locations
Classes will be held in a maximum of 6 sites (28 seats) via IVC within the SEDC Region, including, but not limited to:
- SEDC Office in Cedar City
- Beaver U
- Kane District Office
- George Washington Academy
- Garfield District Office
- Millard District Office
Class is open to all Teachers in the above Districts, including those in Charter Schools. Sites will be determined after registration, as location depends on need.
Dates and Times
Start Date is January 14,2015. Classes will be held one evening a week (4:00 to 8:00) for 10 weeks.
Costs
There will be a nominal cost charged by Weber University to process credits.
