Fall 2024 Elementary Science Endorsement Courses

We have opened registration for the Fall 2024 Elementary Science Endorsement courses sponsored by SEDC in cooperation with Southern Utah University K-12 programs.  There are six required courses for the Elementary Science Endorsement.  We encourage teachers to take the courses in the progressive order they are offered.  We will be offering 2 courses this Fall:  EDUC 5701- Nature of Science and Engineering and EDUC 5702-Systems in Science. If teachers have not already taken EDUC 5701, they are encouraged to take both classes this fall.  

 

There is NO CHARGE for these classes as credit and costs will be covered for all current Utah teachers by the USBE STEM Endorsement Incentive Program.  Teachers that are not under current contract will be charged a fee ($210) and will need to pay SUU tuition ($69).  Classes do require in-person attendance in Cedar City to 4 class sessions.  Travel reimbursement may be provided in limited circumstances.

Please register ASAP with Southern Utah University. The last day to register for the fall classes is September 9, 2024.  Classes begin on Tuesday, September 17th.
