Southwest Educational Development Center, in conjunction with the Utah State Library have successfully written another LSTA Grant. This grant, along with matching funds from SEDC and the schools in our region will enable us to expand our current library (Grades 7-12) to the elementary schools (Grades 3-5).
The current committee of high school librarians from each district/charter will be joined by elementary librarians from each district/charter. This group will select and purchase the books to be added in the library. Students are able to suggest books as well!
SEDC staff will work with librarians to instruct students on how to access the library and check out books.
This online ebook library allows students in the most rural areas of Southern Utah to access a large, diverse and current selection of books.
Students can access this library using their school credentials.
