This summer, SEDC will offer two Educational Technology courses to teachers in our region. The good news is you can take these classes from your home town with live video conferencing and online coursework! Teachers will earn either USOE or SUU credit with successful completion of their selected course. Classes start online June 24.
Project Based Learning: Transform Your Class
In this workshop participants become familiar with the principles of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and strategies for implementing PBL projects in their classrooms. Throughout this six-week workshop, participants analyze, critique and evaluate exemplary projects. They gain hands-on experience developing collaborative, inquiry-based projects that support curriculum goals. Participants learn to blend PBL and standards-based design strategies to create curriculum units that enhance student learning. Each participant leaves the online workshop with a detailed plan for a PBL project.
