At South Elementary in Iron County, we worked with 5th Graders from Mr. Sahagun’s class. The iPACT Activity focused on 5th Grade Math Standard 3 Objective 1: Describe relationships between two- and three-dimensional shapes and analyze attributes and properties of geometric shapes. To facilitate this, we used Google SketchUp, a free 3D modeling program, to work with and manipulate 3D shapes and to identify the 2D shapes which makes them up.
